The United States was founded on Christian principles and received great favor from God throughout the years but it is quite apparent now that we are in a steep decline both morally and physically. Many Christians have called for prayer for a return to that Divine favor status but there are conditions which must be met in order to achieve this goal.

Scripture says: "If My people, which are called by My Name [Christians], (1)shall humble themselves, and (2)pray, and (3)seek My face, and (4)turn from their wicked ways; then (1)will I hear from heaven, and (2)will I forgive their sin, and (3)will heal their land."

Apparently these conditions are not being met.

Prayer used to be allowed in schools. The Bible was used as a source for standards of conduct. Although the prayers themselves were of no great consequence, it signified to God our acknowledgement of His sovereignty. God is a gentleman. If you do not want Him around then He is not going to impose Himself upon you. This does, of course, open you to the perils of the world. Prayers to God were determined to be unlawful as was any other reference to God in public places. Even the posting of the 10 commandments was outlawed although it doesn't take too much wisdom to realize their value.

Not to many years ago trouble at school meant that someone was caught running in the hall, talking in class, chewing gum or many other such infractions of propriety. Now that God has been shoved out of schools and even out of the public domain, murder, rape, drugs and shootings are everyday occurrences in our public schools. Crimes against society are being committed more and more with a callousness unthought of just a few decades ago.

"And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds, tongues and nations. And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man hath an ear, let him hear." Great violence accompanies moral and spiritual perversion. The murder of the unborn in the mother's womb, if not condoned, is accepted with apathy. Many have turned to devil worship and even offer human sacrifice.

Witchcraft, astrology and the occult in every form, and exotic oriental religions enjoy equality with the true worship of God in the United States. An atheist convinced the Supreme Court to renounce our ties to God. Drug dependency and sexual perversion have snared many of God's saints. Many Churches have been taken over by homosexuals and other perverts who claim to be Spirit-filled. Many professing, Spirit-filled Christians have turned back as these troubles arise, and have accepted anti-Christian doctrines and practices from the false prophets.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received NOT the love of Truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
